FEAR
everywhere in this world we could see the land mark of FEARS
that slowly detriment our pleasant lives.
we can never hide our fears every time we encounter troubles and
sometimes we are out of our minds.
but why do we have to act this way??
putting fears at the center of our lives!!
maybe the answer is that we are JUST HUMAN BEING!!
a HUMAN who's emotion are too weak to fight.
a HUMAN who easily give up and lost their trust.
and in the end FEARS RULES OUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!!! Readmore »»
I love the rain. Do you?
It’s rainy season again and typhoons are starting to build-up there in Luzon. One thing I miss about Landing is we don’t experience typhoons there. Though it always rain down there, but we rarely get winds and rains as strong as those in Luzon and Visayas. And most often, it rains at night. You’d be surprised to see the outside of your house wet the moment you wake up the next day.
Anyway, since it is raining these past few days and tonight here in GenSan, I’m wondering if you love the rain. I know several people who don’t. How about you, do you love the rain?
I used to love the rain when I was a kid. When it rains, my childhood friends and I used to sit near the window and watch the the outside of our house get wet. I also developed the liking for the scent of the earth when it gets wet. When nobody’s watching us, we usually go out and play in the rain. Also, my Lola used to cook lugaw (champorado diay, para mas sushal hehe) for us.
We also played with tadpoles. After a few days of continuous raining, the frogs usually spawn their tadpoles in the small pools of mud in our backyard.

a WALK for a CAUSE
I am am just reposting my recent entry from my other blog for this is important. I would be very much thankful if you will pass the word.
I learned from my sister who is an alumni of Brokenshire College SocSKSargen, Inc that they are mounting a fund raising activity -WALK for a CAUSE tagged "A Joyful Walk to a Healthy Body and Mind" on July 20, 2010. This activity's primary objective is to raise fund for the forthcoming operation of one of the faculty of the said institution - Mrs. Alma Reyes, RN.
Open for all interested, the walk will start exactly at 5:00 in the morning from General Santos City's Oval Plaza and will end at Brokenshire College SocSKSargen, Inc for a breakfast. Tickets are sold for P100.00 and a pre-registration is required on or before July 17, 2010.
Now, let us do that WALK!
CALDA or Mamma Marias?
If you had been going around General Santos City lately, you must have noticed that there are lots of FOOD JOINTS sprouting like mushrooms. Another sign that the Tuna Capital of the Philippines is indeed progressing. Two places that are claiming popularity these days are the Pizza Joints - Calda Pizza and Mamma Maria's Pizzeria.
Both serve affordable, large pizzas reaching up to 36 inches with different toppings to choose from. In case you been out of this planet and didn't heard about these two pizza joints, let me compare the two according to AMBIANCE, SERVING STAFF and FOOD.
Ambiance:
Mamma Maria's Pizzeria is more on the higher-end compared to Calda which features an outdoor seating. Mamma Maria's has good interiors that can be appreciated by groups and can be equally romantic for lovers while the latter is more of for the cowboy types with the picnic-like tables they use. I love the clean and dry comfort room of Mamma Maria's unlike those of CALDAs which lacks maintenance. Both are small, neither one can serve more than fifty people at once because of location restrictions. For coziness, I'll give the star for this category to Mamma Maria's Pizzeria.

This is going to be my first post for AVALANCE. I was thinking on how to start my writing here and I thought what better way but to introduce myself.
My name is Dimple. A netizen. I am a lazy slob most of the time but when I am in the mood, I am a working machine. I am not a good writer just a trying hard. You'll often catch me stalking people at FB, making noise at PLURK, pirating movies online (hush, hush its for personal consumption only) and babysitting on the side.
For now, I am maintaining six semi-active BLOGS, and it just turned seven with AVALANCE adding up to my to do list. I love experimenting in the kitchen, so expect post on FOOD from me. I also am fond of joining blog contest, so you might just have a taste of it also.
